The SoCon officially launches the search for its new Commissioner. Samford President Dr. Beck A. Taylor will chair the search committee, which is slated to include a cross-section of presidents/chancellors, ADs, SWAs and FARs from the league’s member institutions. While the Protect College Sports Act appears set to clear the Senate this week, questions remain about whether the House will return from its early recess to take up the legislation, and one lobbyist who worked on the PCSA tells The Hill’s Dominick Mastrangelo: “We remain pretty optimistic the House is going to make this a priority when they come back.
