The SEC has filed an amendment to its federal lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama against LSU, school officials and Football HC Lane Kiffin, seeking the authority to expel the Tigers from the league, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Dan Murphy and Mark Schlabach, who note the “SEC is not expected to take such action, but the filing indicates the seriousness of the league as it attempts to affirm the legal right to enforce its own rules.” The league also filed a TRO in federal court seeking similar authority. The MAC has formally submitted appeals to the FBS Oversight Committee and the College Football Playoff, requesting both bodies recognize Western Michigan as the actual winner of Saturday night’s game against Michigan for the purposes of rankings, selections and to “take such other corrective action as may be within their authority.” MAC Commissioner Jon Steinbrecher: “After further study and investigation, it is now evident that replay protocol was not properly followed in determining whether time remained on the game clock at the conclusion of the Western Michigan vs. Michigan football game. The established replay protocol requires that the game clock displayed on the program feed be used in determining whether time remained. Instead, the Big Ten Conference replay crew relied upon the clock feed embedded within its replay system. As a result, one second was placed back on the game clock and an additional play was awarded. This was not a judgment regarding the proper amount of time to place on the clock. It was an error in the application of the established replay protocol governing this specific end-of-game timing situation. Had the protocol been properly followed and the program-feed clock been used, no additional play would have been awarded, and Western Michigan would have won the game, 12-7.” More. (link)

Coordinating team meals means managing a lot of moving parts, from practice and game-day timelines to travel departures and constant schedule changes. That gets even harder on the road, when you’re ordering in unfamiliar cities and trying to make sure food arrives where and when the team needs it.
ezCater helps simplify those logistics by giving teams one place to find local restaurants, order individually packaged meals, and schedule delivery wherever food is needed — whether that’s a hotel, a meet site, or a bus pickup on the road.
That flexibility has been especially valuable for Jacksonville State University during multi-day trips in unfamiliar locations.
“It has been beneficial because we’ll travel to unfamiliar cities and towns for games and be there for 48 to 72 hours. I’m not familiar with who takes catering orders locally or if they’ll deliver. ezCater has been really helpful on that side of things.”
– Matthew Boone, Head Coach of Track & Field, Jacksonville State University
