NCAA President Charlie Baker pens an urgent call-to-action through USA Today asking for federal intervention via the Protect College Sports Act to halt the rapid legal erosion of traditional collegiate eligibility boundaries. The student-athlete rev-share cap of $21.3M for 2026-27 has increased to $21.58M following an audit of power conference revenue, according to Yahoo Sports’ Ross Dellenger, who notes “there was an automatic 4% boost plus an additional, one-time increase,” allowing schools to spend an additional $131,438 during the 2026-27 season.
